Internship

EEI offers internships in general for a minimum of three months for students, young university graduates and other young people from governmental, regional and local public and private institutions, as well as from the media and business sectors. Applicants from all European countries are welcome.

An internship at EEI will give you the chance to become part of a dynamic team and experience Brussels from the inside. The internship entails networking and communicating with members and fellows of the EEI, MEPs, officials at the European Commission and representatives from other think thanks on a global scale. Projects may vary from event organization to writing reports or designing and editing our electronic newsletter and homepage.

This internship offers an ideal opportunity to gain an overview of the EU policy, public and media market. It will provide the successful candidate(s) with practical knowledge of the EU public and private stakeholders.

The following conditions must be met in order to apply for this internship:

-          You should hold a university degree or currently be studying

-          You must have a thorough knowledge of English. Knowledge of further European languages would be an advantage.

-          Computer literacy in Microsoft Office is a must

-          You should not be older than 30. (Since the EEI Internship Program is aimed at students and young graduates at the beginning their careers, this age limit should not be regarded as discriminatory.)

Please note that the EEI Internship program is unpaid, but students and young graduates are welcome to apply for scholarships at their respective universities, (e.g. the Leonardo da Vinci mobility scheme, for more details see http://ec.europa.eu/education/programmes/leonardo/mobility_en.html), at their local authority’s department dealing with scholarships and grants, at European foundations such as Robert Schuman Foundations, etc. General organizational assistance for accommodation can be provided.
