Biography:
Dan Dalton studied at both Warwick and Coventry Universities in the UK gaining a BA in International Relations and Politics from Coventry before achieving an MA in International Politics and East Asia at Warwick University. Having been a professional cricketer before going to university, he focused heavily on the interaction between sport and international relations and particularly viewing sport as a tool of foreign policy, as opposed to the more traditional view of sport being a uniting force in international politics. He has worked as the Chief of Staff to the Chairman of the European Parliament's Agriculture Committee since leaving university and has written numerous articles on the need to reform the CAP and to liberate global agricultural markets on his behalf. As a candidate in the European elections for the British Conservative Party, I have written several articles for a booklet published by young candidates which will be publicly available in the next few months. His main interests are classical liberal economics, particularly when applied to sensitive areas such as agriculture, but also the relation between tax rates and personal freedom and liberty. Mr Dalton is also interested in Trade policy, Sport, Agricultural policy and foreign affairs.
