Gunnar Hökmark

Gunnar Hökmark is the Co-President of the European Enterprise Institute. 

He is a Member of the European Parliament and vice Chairman of the EPP-ED Group. He has been a Member of 

He has been the Secretary-General of the Swedish Moderate Party and was a Member of Parliament 1982-2004 and the Chairman of the International Committee of the Moderate Party.

In 1986-1991, he was the Executive Director if Timbro Idea, one of the leading European think-tanks. He was also the Managing Director of the Reform Institute in Sweden.

Mr Hökmark is also Chairman of European Friends of Israel. He has also received Orders from Estonia, Latvia and Lithuania for his work to liberate the Baltic peoples. 

He is the author of seven books – about reforms for a free economy and society.
