Veliko Dimitrov

Veliko Dimitrov has graduated at the University of National and World Economy in Sofia, and and in 2010 will also graduate in Accounting and Financial Analysis (MA) at the same university. In 2005 Mr Dimitrov joined the Institute for Market Economics (IME) in Bulgaria and since the beginning of 2007 he has been serving as senior economist. Prior to 2005, he worked for a private real estate company in Freiburg and a private company in the entertainment industry in California, USA. He speaks English, German and Bulgarian and has good understanding of Russian and Serbo-Croatian languages. Veliko Dimitrov is also a member of the Bulgarian Macroeconomic Association, and the Public Consultations Council of the European Affairs Committee of the Bulgarian Parliament. Mr Dimitrov has participated in various public policy and consultancy research projects on overall economic dynamics and business environment analysis, has contributed to several books in English and Bulgarian and occasionally participates in TV and radio shows. He has also published over 100 articles in the weekly Bulgarian and monthly English bulletin of IME, major Bulgarian newspapers and magazines, including the local editions of The Economist and Business Week.
